The Big Bang Fair moves to it's new home in Hull

The Big Bang Fair Yorkshire & Humberside is part of the major UK wide programme which celebrates and raises the profile of the achievements of young people (age range 9 -19) in STEM.

Learn by Design are delighted to announce that this fantastic event will be moving to a new home at the Bonus Arena in Hull and will take place on 11th June 2020.

What happens at a Big Bang Near Me?
There are lots of brilliant ways to get involved in this event, with everything from interactive shows and workshops to fully interactive activities where you can get hands-on with real-life science and engineering, so you can experience what it's like to work in the industries that use these skills and get loads of great careers advice at the same time!

Is your school interested in doing a STEM project?
Have your students undertaken a STEM project or would they be interested in doing one? You can showcase your projects at The Big Bang Fair Yorkshire and Humber for the chance to win a variety of awards and get fantastic feedback for our judges, who are all industrial professionals. The winners of our regional Big Bang Competition heat progress to the national finals to represent the Yorkshire and Humber region at The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair in March 2021. If you are interested in entering a project, please contact Jade on

Support and sponsorship
Would you like to be part of the largest one-day STEM event in the region? Why not come along and  run an activity or sponsor one of our zones, awards or shows?  Getting involved with The Big Bang Fair Yorkshire and Humber will give your company an outreach opportunity to over 7,000 visitors and is a great opportunity to meet and influence your future workforce. If you are interested in running an activity or sponsorship, please contact the team on
