The Big Bang Fair South West 2020 will host a range of exciting elements under one roof including; a show stage featuring engaging live science shows, a range of hands on activities from the most prominent STEM employers across the region and the chance to find out about STEM career opportunities.
The event is open to primary, secondary and home schooled children.
Due to popular demand, the event will be held over 2 days and will attract over 11,000 visitors from across the South West. There will be a number of sessions available to book onto over the 2 days. Please see below for details:
Wednesday 17th June
Session 1 9:00- 12:00 (Competition Entrants to register for this session but will attend all day)

* 9:00- 10:00 of this session will be a Sensory Friendly Hour. Big Bang events by nature are loud due to the highly interactive content. For the first hour of this session adjustments have been made to reduce the noise levels in the arena which may be preferable to some visitors.
Session 2 12.30-15.30
Big Bang Competition- South West Regional Heat
The event also celebrates and recognises student’s STEM projects. During the day we will host the South West regional heats of The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition, culminating in a glittering awards ceremony, with the winners progressing on to the national finals the following March at the NEC, Birmingham. A range of other STEM innovation awards are on offer too looking at things like communication, creativity and digital skills.
