William Perkin: The Big Bang 2019
Engineering the Future
On the Friday 10th May, we have the anniversary of the opening ceremony of our school, William Perkin High School (Greenford, West London). William Perkin was himself a scientist so each year it is a day of celebrating science (We are a science specialist college).
This year, we have decided to take all students off timetable and run an enrichment day all about the ‘Engineering the Future’.
Activities for students will range from workshops, practical work, and investigations to talks and careers guidance. Our students are hard-working, motivated, enthusiastic and well behaved, however they don’t have many of the opportunities outside of school that give them the ambition to study science at university and beyond. We hope that days like this will really help to enthuse and inspire.
