Join us for a host of exciting hands on activities and fantastic shows at The Big Bang Fair Eastern!
The Big Bang Fair Eastern is for secondary school students aged 11-18 years and aims to inspire our future scientists and engineers at a regional and local level.
We want to encourage more students to take these subjects, as well as celebrating young people’s achievements in science and engineering through displaying their STEM projects and letting them talk with engineers and scientists, face to face. There will be so much going on at the event - from shows that will amaze you, to workshops where you can get hands-on with engineering.
There will be lots of exhibitors and careers information (take a look under the activities tab above to find out who will be there on the day, we will update when we have more informaiton) and of course the UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition where students have the opportunity to show off their work and win prize money for themselves and their school.
Students, teachers and science clubs can bring along and showcase the great science, technology, engineering and maths projects they’ve been working on. They can talk to STEM professionals about their work and can enter one of the many prize categories that will be available at the Fair, including UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition regional heats and the CREST awards.
