The Big Bang Fair is coming to South Wales!

EESW is pleased to be bringing one of the largest events in STEM to South Wales again this year at Parc Y Scarlets, Llanelli on Thursday 19th April 2018.

There will be over eighty teams from across South Wales attending to display the work they have completed during the EESW Sixth Form Project in 2017–2018.

There will also be samples of the activities EESW/STEMCymru can offer all schools throughout Wales – including First Lego League, Introduction to Engineering (i2E), information about our Headstart Cymru courses and our F1 in Schools track – come and see what we do!

If you would like to attend this event, register today!

Some of our exciting exhibitors and shows include:

Science Made Simple Shows –

Why Physics? – How can we use diamonds to improve the internet? What is a laser and why are they useful? How can we make a magnet levitate? Physics helps to uncover the mysteries of the world we live in, and these discoveries are used to improve our everyday lives. This new show by science made simple, in collaboration with Cardiff University physicists, looks at cutting edge research and explores the exciting applications of physics. From atoms and imaging to materials and magnets, this show reveals the hidden places where physics is useful to all of us, and shows you the kind of things physicists are doing right now.

Bubbles and Balloons – Your audience will be sure to be excited by our giant bubbles and whizzing balloons, they will have their curiosity stirred and will be encouraged to explore the properties of materials. This and so much more are covered in this interactive and memorable show.

Mad Science (9)Mad Science South Wales – Mad Science will have lots of exciting and interactive activities at the event, including activities on forces and gravity, static electricty & circuit building, polymers & slime and science of magic busking and giveaways!  Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity.
