The Big Bang Fair is coming to North Wales, March 2018
EESW/STEMCymru is pleased to be bringing one of the largest events in STEM to North Wales again this year at Venue Cymru, Llandudno on Tuesday 13th March 2018.
There will be over twenty-five EESW teams from across North Wales attending to display the work they have completed during the EESW Sixth Form Project in 2017–2018.
There will also be samples of the activities EESW/STEMCymru can offer all schools throughout Wales – including First Lego League, Introduction to Engineering (i2E), information about our Headstart Cymru courses and our F1 in Schools track – come and see what we do!

Jaguar 2D – Students can make a cardboard car and race it down our 20 metre race track!
The Measure of Medicine – Students will complete several mathematical challenges related to the development of new medicines; involving real world considerations, reasoned thinking and data analysis. KS4/5 Workshop
Challenge at the Chocolate Factory – Working in a chocolate factory sounds fantastic, students will find out how their numeracy skills can be applied to chocolate production. KS3 Workshop
ICE Bridge to Schools
Bridge Building – ICE gives young people the chance to build miniature version of the Second Severn Crossing! Using our model cable-stayed bridges, children experience bridge building at first-hand, while wearing hard hats, high-vis vests, gloves and goggles. After the bridges have been built, each child gets the chance to walk across and test their engineering skills.
